1 – Takefusa Kubo (Real Madrid)

In 2019, Kubo brought many expectations when he switched to Real Madrid. However, then the young Japanese talent was loaned to Mallorca by Los Blancos.

Kubo continued his adventure to Villarreal and Getafe clubs on loan. In the 2021/2022 season, Kubo returned to play for Mallorca.

2 – Mohamed Ihattaren (PSV)

In 2020, Ihattaren was voted as one of the best young midfielders in world football. However, under the reign of coach Roger Schmidt, Ihattaren had no land to act and had to switch to Juventus.

The 20-year-old tomorrow star has not had a smooth career.

In January 2022, Ihattaren transferred to Ajax on loan from Juventus. Contrary to expectations, the 20-year-old midfielder could not squeeze into the starting lineup of coach Erik ten Hag.

3 – Lee Kang-in (Valencia)

The young Korean talent was voted the best player in the U20 World Cup 2019. In August 2021, Lee moved to Mallorca from Valencia. This season, Lee shows signs of slowing down in form.

4 – Reinier (Real Madrid)

In January 2020, Real spent 35 million euros to own Reinier from Flamengo club. The young Brazilian star was once compared to the Kaka version of South American football.

In the summer of 2021, Reinier joined Borussia Dortmud on loan with a two-year contract. In fact, Reinier is still struggling with form in the BVB shirt.

5 – Mason Greenwood (Man United)

Real spent 45 million euros to bring Rodrygo to the Santiago Bernabeu from Santos. The advancement of young Brazilian talent is not smooth. Currently, Rodrygo plays a reserve role under Carlo Ancelotti’s reign.

7 – Moise Kean (Everton)

In 2019, Moise Kean entered the list of 50 best young talents in the world voted by Goal. Impressive performance with Juventus helped Kean be called up to the focus list of the Italian national team.

In the 2019/2020 season, the 22-year-old striker surprised the experts when he joined Everton. Contrary to expectations, Kean owns only 2 goals after 29 matches. Keane was sent to PSG in October 2020 on loan.

In the summer of 2021, Kean returned to Juventus on loan with a 2-year contract before being bought by the Old Lady.

8 – Diego Lainez (Real Betis)

In January 2019, Real Betis decided to spend 14 million euros to own Diego’s signature from Club America. With a strong position of 10, Diego is considered by experts to be the Lionel Messi version of Mexican football.

In fact, Diego could not shine as expected. Injuries become a big barrier to prevent the young Mexican talent from unleashing all his talents in Real Betis.
