RENO, Nev. – The Nevada women’s golf team travels to Denver, Colorado to compete in the Ron Moore Women’s Intercollegiate at the University of Denver Golf Club in Highlands Ranch on Saturday.
The Pack set their third-lowest all-time single scoring round at the Ron Moore Women’s Intercollegiate in 2016-17 (283) as well as its ninth all-time 54-hole tournament scoring (885) during the same competition. This marks the fourth time that the Wolf Pack has competed in the Ron Moore Women’s Intercollegiate with the last time taking place during the 2018-19 season.
Nevada will send five golfers to the event, with the quintet of Victoria Gailey, Anitra Khoth, Leah John, Kayla Nocum, and Kaitlin Fleiner making up the team entry.
The team competition will be played on the 6,415-yard, par-72 University of Denver Golf Club at Highlands Ranch. The Pack will get the first round underway on Friday at 10 a.m., in the late pairing with Hawai’i and Grand Canyon University.
The course features four par fives, two on the front nine and two on the back; 10 par fours with five on the front nine and five on the back; and four par threes with two on the front nine and two on the back.
Along with Nevada, the 15-team field includes host University of Denver, Colorado State, Grand Canyon University, Cal Poly, ETSU, Hawai’i, Iowa, Kansas, Northern Colorado, Rutgers, San Francisco, Tulane, UC Davis, and Wyoming.
This weekend’s event marks the third of 10 scheduled events for the Pack in 2021-22. The Wolf Pack will break up its 10 events between four events in the fall and six, including the 2022 Mountain West Championship, in the spring.
